Comic book movies

+ Been meaning to post on the Iron Man trailer. Looks so great. Robert Downey Jr is perfect for Tony Stark.

(Geek defense reporter thought: Since Raptors are thought to be capable of 'supercruise' at Mach 2.5+, does that mean Iron Man can go faster? ;-)

+ Mark embedded the Dark Knight Trailer I recently reviewed, so here it is:

You've awoken the fellow mil-geek in me! F-22 Supercruise is stated to be about mach 1.5+ with no external weapons. Top speed over all is listed as "above 1,600mph" or mach 2.42+. link

the Mark VII Iron Man Suit can go, reportedly, as fast as Mach 1.2, but we all know that Stark Enterprises lowballs those figures so as to keep a tactical advantage.

Plus, that speed is with jet pack and boots, it doesn't count when he uses the repulsors in his gloves for the "afterburner" effect.

BB: i stand corrected on the Supercruise. while you quote 'listed' top speed, the actual top speed, which is classified, is believed to be above mach 2.5 (not that there's much difference).

M: so cool. thanks! picked up an IM comic lately and TS had a subsuit that extruded from the hollows of his bones and the main suit was in geosynchrous orbit and bullied down, separated, and put itself on him. whoa!
