Very funny, and nearly true.
The Taliban overthrew the Mujahideen (more recently called the Northern Alliance) who ran out the Soviets.
The closest current tie between the Mujahideen and the Taliban is, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar. However, as the Taliban tried to through Mr. Hekmatyar out of a helicopter during their rise, perhaps they were not so close back then...
