I've decided, for the sake of better commenting, to turn off comment moderation but turn on 'word verification'. Hopefully that will keep the riff raff out. We'll see...

I'm generally happy with the Blogger comment system, and their captcha's seem to root out most spam. (But not all: a few get through here and there, usually on older posts. So make sure you have things set up so that you're e-mailed for any comment that comes through, so if someone spams some old post of yours, you know about it and thus know to delete it.)
Now, if they had some way of recording and banning specific IPs of spam or troll commenters, I'd be really happy!
I don't like this change.
It's a pain...in my opinion.. :-)
