Winter blows, every game he refs he impacts the game.

This is premature, but this game felt Super Bowl-ish. Both teams were tentative in all aspects, and the special teams and defenses were huge. Both teams made a ton of mistakes, and I'll give you the fact that who calls defensive delay of game? Wha?

The Vikes should've been running or delay passing Peterson, it's like a given 10 yards. Yet, they kept calling the wrong call. The Steelers should've got Ben calmed down, because it was obvious he was antsy out there, no pump-fakes, everything was out of synch. Maybe this is why it felt like a Super Bowl, because Ben has a tendency to get tight for big games, only to loosen up in the final quarter.

Good luck, Vikes fans, maybe we'll be seeing each other early next year.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660344.post-75609481640655052802009-10-25T23:20:55.130-04:002009-10-25T23:20:55.130-04:00thanks for the comment, Eric.
absolutely right ab...thanks for the comment, Eric.

absolutely right about the Vikes. i really don't know why teams don't run more. i prefer the pass, too, but jeez!Sean Meadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05065687969605540072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660344.post-13165422599189982012009-10-25T23:16:26.516-04:002009-10-25T23:16:26.516-04:00Great game. I can't understand why the Vikes didn't just give the ball to AP when they were already in field goal range towards the end of the game. The goal line stand that held the Vikes to a FG was as much of a key as the return TDs. I was really surprised to see the Vikes not go for it in that situation. In any case, great game.

I've never been too disappointed with Reed's football play. That guy has made many clutch kicks for the Steelers, and I don't expect him to be able to tackle Percy Harvin. However, his off the field antics have definitely worn thin.Erichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09271239263927130987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660344.post-77745695836785264732009-10-25T16:28:49.439-04:002009-10-25T16:28:49.439-04:00the phantom defensive delay of game penalty that n...the phantom defensive delay of game penalty that no one else saw. maybe it was there, but i haven't seen it on a replay yet.

true, we dropped too many passes.

good point about Reed, obviously.Sean Meadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05065687969605540072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1660344.post-82512561624059346822009-10-25T16:26:40.686-04:002009-10-25T16:26:40.686-04:00I'll give you the bogus tripping call, but wha...I'll give you the bogus tripping call, but what was the other bad call?

Favre definitely needs his receivers to catch a few more balls though.

I wish our kicker would start acting like a real football player on the field rather than just celebrating like one off the field. I could've tackled better than he did on the kick-off return.Shawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06640018914098361293noreply@blogger.com
